My roommate lost her job and can’t stay, so I need to find someone who can afford to share the costs and move into her room in my great 2br converted apartment ASAP! The current lease goes through August 1st, so it’s 3 months for now. (I’ve been here almost 3 years and will soon decide whether I’m staying ) The apartment is furnished, but your room is not. I’ll try to be thorough:
SHOWING THIS SATURDAY – 4/28- INCLUDE YOUR AVAILABILITY IF INTERESTED!
Location:
-E. 60th st between 2nd & 3rd. (Bloomingdales, Dylan’s Candy Bar, and Serendipity are within a block. Close enough to Central Park! )
-VERY close to several trains and buses (456, NRQ, M15, M101, etc.) Safe neighborhood. During the day it’s a busy street/near 59th st bridge, but the apartment is in the back of the building and pretty quiet.
-Convenient to UES & Midtown.
-The Container Store, Bed & Bath, and Home Depot are all very close.
Apartment features:
-2nd floor in a small Co-op elevator building
-Double security doors/intercom camera
-New coin-op washers/dryers in the basement
-Pretty quiet, well maintained building
-New refrigerator
-Decent sized living space for 2 people, considering it’s converted.
-Full bathtub and medicine cabinet/storage in bathroom
-Hall/linen closet
-Furnished (couch, rug, tv stand, etc.) just bring your bedroom and you’re good!
Your room:
-The larger room, great size: fits a Queen sized bed, 3 dressers, an armoire, and a wardrobe closet, and still feels good!
-It’s the converted room but the wall is solid and has windows for added character and light.
-Has a wall unit AC already installed/comes with the apartment.
-Bright- 3 large windows
-Wood floors (but we have to cover 80% per lease)
Not so great:
Small kitchen and no dishwasher. Sad, because I love to cook, but I’ve managed it for 2+ years, so you can too!
About me:
I’m a 31 year old born & raised NYC girl. I’m a marketing professional. I’m fun, friendly, like meeting new people, food & wine/trying new restaurants and happy hours, seeing live music, wandering around the city, people watching, Yankee games, traveling, going out and up for anything when possible, but also hanging at home watching crappy reality TV.
About You:
Ideally, you’re female, friendly, around the same age, like to hang out sometimes, make fun of some Real Housewives/reality TV with me, share the occasional bottle of wine, responsible (not someone who goes around losing her keys), respectful, trustworthy, willing to split the necessary costs and responsibilities, and clean (you wash your hands after you’ve touched the subway) You CANNOT be a cigarette smoker. I’m incredibly sensitive/allergic to it, and if you and/or your stuff smell like cigarettes, it won’t work. NO PETS ALLOWED, no exceptions.
Other Stuff:
We currently have WiFi and cable w/DVR installed (w/ HBO & Showtime). If you’re into splitting those, that would be great, but we can work it out if not. We split utilities, which are typically under $70, other than during the summer. I try to keep the living/common rooms as neat and livable as possible.
This apartment has treated me well and I hope to find someone to continue to share it! You will have to go through a standard application/approval process with the Co-op board, but is pretty simple. You should make 45K+ to satisfy them. You will not be on the lease, so we’ll write up an agreement and you’ll pay me the 1st of every month. Security deposit TBD.
