With over seven years in the early stage startup scene, Dannie Hetz has created and managed six different products in four categories, as a creative leader, community manager, product manager and over the past four years, as the founder and CEO of her own startup.

Currently, she's the Founder and CEO of Superr - the first crowdsourced platform for independent professionals, that aims to empower individuals who build their business upon their expertise and passion.

Dannie splits her time between Tel Aviv and NYC, and is always happy to meet new people who like to brainstorm ideas that can change the world for the better.

How do you define success?

This is a huge, deep, question, that I can answer on many different levels. This time I choose: Letting go.

If I can let go, that means I succeeded in either finding the right person to help me with something that I can trust and let go now, or that I have reached a place where something works and I can let go.

It’s a state of mind and since letting go can lead directly into being more calm- I see that as success.

How do you measure your own success?

Solely by my own standards. I make sure to reflect upon my status at least once in two-three days and if I feel I can’t let go of things, I dive deeper to find where the “Fail” is and do everything to make it right.

How does success feel?

Like I can breathe again.

When was the last time you felt successful? What happened?

Due to the fast startup life of ups and downs, I actually feel success almost on a daily basis (and I feel failure pretty much on the same level). The last time was yesterday, when I let go of my work for a few hours to go and see Arcade Fire with my significant other. I usually feel guilty if I take a break and this time I didn’t feel guilty and just enjoyed the show and the fact I could let go for a few hours.

How do you celebrate your success?

By dancing my ass off. ;-)

Usually I actually don’t celebrate it. I just take it in for a sec and continue on to the next thing.

What advice would you offer to someone who wants to be successful?

Listen to Eminem or any other type of artist who reminds you to be who you are, own up to who you are and don’t care so much about what others are saying or thinking about you. If you want to be successful, it’s yours and usually it’s up to only you. You will have to be the one to make it happen and the only one who knows your thoughts and dreams, so be kind to others and to yourself. Success will come :)
